Medixine's solutions are divided into three categories:
- Population based solutions enhance preventive and independent patient care. Population based solutions are typically easy and affordable to implement since they do not require training of patients. Also, they do not add to the work load of already busy health professionals.
- Expert based solutions consist of cost-effective communication tools for health care professionals. Expert based solutions are easier and more affordable to implement than Patient based solutions.
- Patient based solutions make possible the patients’ new active role in their own healthcare as well as enhance the quality of care. Implementation projects are typically more demanding and requires siginificant resources from the health care provider.
According to Medixine's concept implementation of e-services can start from the Population based level. This way a critical mass is reached fast and clear well documented benefits can be proved. Implementation can then proceed to the next levels.
